The Zonum Group was founded in 2017 with one goal in mind. To provide excellent service to its clients. We pride ourselves in providing personalized services to our clients as well as exceeding expectations. Construction and Engineering can be a tricky business, TZG can make it simpler to understand.We can provide a wide variety of services to cater specifically to eachindividual client’s needs. TZG provides a unique aspect to construction that is not common in your typical structural engineering firm.

Active participation

We are actively involved in 3rd party consulting and design build project management. This allows us to provide a design and inspection services that not only meet code, but that are practical and costeffective. Here at The Zonum Group, we look forward to working with you and your team to provide any and all of the structural engineering services you need.

Eric Muñoz

Eric is the Owner and Principal Engineer at The Zonum Group. Eric founded the company with the intention of providing clients with the best possible service combined with an exceptional quality product. “The industry is changing and the building process is becoming more and more complex than ever before. In order for a project to be successful, it takes designers with diverse and specialized knowledge that can navigate through the process as well as adapt to the market. Here at The Zonum Group, we can help.”
Eric has a very diverse background that includes expertise in the real estate industry and investments. He loves learning about new things, boating, spending quality time with his family and traveling to new places. He has 2 wonderful children with his wife Maria, to whom he has been married to for over 18 years. Eric and his wife Maria also own a small farm where children and adults can interact with a variety of different animals.

Andrea Parra

Andrea Parra is an experienced, passionate and dedicated Structural Engineering Specialist and an expert Cad Technician graduated with distinction from the renowned Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería Julio Garavito in Bogotá-Colombia with undergraduate and advanced degrees in Civil Engineering. Andrea is also a licensed Professional Engineer and Structural Specialist in Colombia. Andrea has an incredibly strong background in commercial structural engineering and has managed projects of over 200M. She has completed all different types of projects including commercial, residential and institutional buildings. She is expertly skilled in ETABS, AutoCAD, reporting & analysis, Microsoft Excel, SAP, Seismic and wind analysis, concrete and steel structural design. She is also a very persevering and disciplined engineer as well as a person with a positive and constructive spirit, always open to new challenges. She is the definition of a person who has true passion for structural design. She dreams to design some of the world’s tallest skyscrapers and has the motivation, education, intelligence and the drive to do so. She works hard to reach every single professional goal she sets.
Andrea is an avid traveler and has a passion for life itself. She loves her two beautiful German Shepherds and of course she loves high-rise buildings.

Johanna Jimenez

Johanna is a civil engineer graduated from the Military University Nueva Granada in Bogotá – Colombia. She loves solving complex problems and is passionate about learning about new industry trends. She loves to teach and to share her knowledge. She likes challenging herself to get a better perspective in solving complex problems. She is also very passionate about structures. Johana believes in continuous improvement as a professional and as a human being. Her professional experience has been acquired by many years of hard work in different roles; first as Structural drafter, then a BIM modeler and currently as a structural engineer. She loves using her knowledge of engineering combined with specialized software that can help her to integrate, accurately represent and execute solutions that are essential to a project. In her free time, Johanna loves riding her bike, walking with her dogs and being surrounded by nature.

Carolina Correa

Carolina is an architectural and engineering drafter graduated from University Colegio Mayor de Antioquia in Medellín-Colombia. Experienced in programming and furniture shop drawings for manufacturing. She is a highly talented drafter in mechanical, architectural, structural and shop drawing plans. She has knowledge in different software as Invento, Revit, Autocad and Lumion. Carolina enjoys watching movies. She loves plants and taking trips around nature where she shares amazing moments with her family.

Mariana Zuluaga

Mariana is an architecture intern, coursing the last semester of her career at the University of San Buenaventura Medellín. She is passionate about interior design and buildings. She has experience in architectural plans, Revit 3d management, and realism-like rendering images. Outside the office, Mariana loves to work out every day in the gym and listen to all music genres!

Andy is a free-spirited quick thinker and is the administrative assistant of the Zonum Group. She always tries to help every person in the office in any way she can. She loves to be surrounded by creativity and is very often inspired by her co-workers. In her free time, she enjoys skating, acting, music and being outside with nature.

Daniel Ruiz

Since college Daniel has been enthusiastic and passionate about the impact we have as engineers. He graduated from the University of Florida, ranked among top 5 public universities in the U.S., with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and at the top of his class as a Cum Laude Honors student. Daniel is one of our project managers, he is involved in most projects from beginning to end. Over the years, he has a cquired a great deal of experience in communicating with staff from cities in Miami Dade, Broward and Palm Beach County in order to obtain a building permit for construction projects. With his engineering background, Daniel understands that there is always a solution to any problem. With the help of his team, Daniel will work tirelessly to make our clients’ projects a reality. In his spare time, Daniel enjoys being outdoors, working out and playing soccer as well as reading and listening to Jazz music.

Esteban Rincon Lopez

Esteban is a project architect who graduated from the Nacional University of Colombia with skills in architectural and urban design, he is a responsible and productive worker who is always ready to help his coworkers and to accomplish his tasks. His has experience drawing in multiple software such as Autocad, Revit and SketchUp, and he enjoys learning everything that can help him to improve his performance as an architect. And when being an architect is done for the day, he enjoys riding his bike around the city!
